Scary....Writing in "Free Inquiry" this month, Joe Bageant points out something I don't like to think about very much. He reminds me that most of America is not a tolerant, liberal population; that the heartland is heartily non-liberal. What's more, he characterizes the majority of these folks as pursuing a "covert Christian jihad for control of America..." Made me squirm.
