For all the support for change in the Islamic State that he detected, they still elected a hard-liner. All the same,
Hitchens enlightens, as usual, and in this case clarifies a number of things about the history of the region that the MSM, with all their resources, seem unwilling to do. If an atheist like Hitchens can speak with respect of the "patient heart of Shia Islam" why should we have to wait for the MSM to show anything but war reports from the region? Perhaps it is a subject that does not lend itself to their usual dumbed-down analysis...
