When Robert Knight wakes up in the morning, he is shrill, and he just stays that way. When he read Time Magazine's cover story on gay teens, he probably began foaming at the mouth. However, his article below does allow some truth to emerge since RK is simply unable to disguise the basic wholesomeness and inclusiveness of the GLSEN- and GSA-type school clubs. His attempt to demonize such groups is clear, though, as GLSEN's "No Name-Calling Week" is characterized as a "platform for discouraging resistance to the promotion of homosexuality to school kids". He also decries Time for not making any references to "the dangerous medical consequences of homosexual behavior". That may have something to do with the fact that the subject of Time's article was something a little different. What RK would have us ignore is that it is some followers of the Christian lifestyle that are ever-ready to use fear and threats and start throwing around the brimstone rather than throwing some real light on the real issues. The real issues here happen to be a vicious intolerance toward those who do not share that Christian lifestyle, many of whom are young people, and the consequent devastating effects upon those young people.
