How straight is that?....
A study of about 5,000 men in New York City has concluded that the terms "straight" and "gay" are not as valid as most of us think. Nearly 10% of the study group identified themselves as straight, yet also reported having sex with at least one other man in the preceding year. Of that 10%, nearly 70% were married to women. Any internet surfer could provide you with similar, albeit anecdotal, results...For an experiment, simply compare membership numbers in some Yahoo or Google groups, for example. The number of "curious" or "bi" men outstrip by far the numbers of "gay"-identified clubs. The labels for sexuality have always been fluid, whether we've been admitting it or not, but Dr. Preeti Pathela has quantified this somewhat in the study.
