Fear from Fox...It is not surprising that the Fox network would thrive on promoting queer fear, but one of their featured items on January 30th demonstrates some unconscious irony as well. Donors to California's Proposition 8, barring gay marriage, were recently outed under a ruling by a federal judge. One unhappy $30,000 donor, upon receiving vaguely threatening emails and voicemails remarked, "You don't know in today's world where threats will lead." The irony of his remark is demonstrated with increasing frequency these days each time another gay murder makes the news. This uneasy donor is simply experiencing an unhappy fact of life for many gay folks.
